Tacos and cupcakes are both delicious, and you get the best of both worlds with these Taco Cupcakes with Wonton Wrappers! Made of delicious layers of taco fillings and yummy toppings in wonton wrappers in the form of a cupcake, these taco cupcakes are both cute and yummy!

These are the perfect idea for an appetizer for your next dinner, a snack to bring along to a picnic, or the main attraction on taco night. Is it lunch or is it dessert? Who cares, it’s delicious!

It’s Time for Some Cupcake Tacos!

    It’s Taco Tuesday!

Who doesn’t love a good remix of a traditional recipe? If you want a spin a twist on traditional tacos, or if you love tacos and cupcakes and want a way to combine these two together, try this recipe out! My sister told me about these cute little taco remixes, and they are the bomb! Taco cupcakes are packed with just flavors and so yummy!

March Madness starts next week and these Taco Cupcakes will be the perfect recipe to kick off the madness. They will be the perfect appetizer to sit back and enjoy the games with. If you were stuck between getting tacos or cupcakes to snack on, now you don’t have to choose!

These taco cupcakes are also perfectly portioned, so you know how much wonton wrappers, fillings, and toppings to prepare in advance, depending on how many people you have!

Tips and Tricks for your Taco Cupcakes

It is time to spice things up during taco night! These taco cupcakes offer you a lot of room for creativity and customization. There are many ways to mix and match flavors and toppings, and they will all turn out to be delicious!

Feel free to get creative and use refried beans instead of black beans or even beans and cheese with no meat. You can use whatever taco filling that satisfies your cravings!

Remember that you can treat these taco cupcakes just as you would an actual taco. You can add some sour cream and a sprinkle of red tomatoes and green onions. Other toppings that are just as yummy are red onions, cilantro, olives, and -of course- avocadoes!

You can even turn this into a “build your own taco” event! Prepare your crunchy cupcake-shaped wonton wrappers and display all the individual toppings. This could be a fun activity that adds more enjoyment to your event. It would also allow people to try any taco topping combination they want or dream of!

Now for eating the taco cupcakes, it might seem a bit challenging. However, you can eat them with your hands or a fork. You can bite right into them as you would for a cupcake, or use a fork to dig into the toppings as if you have a delicious little taco bowl.

    Taco Cupcakes FAQs

Can I use tortillas instead of wonton wrappers?

Yes! Place your tortillas in your muffin pan and proceed as the recipe indicates.

How are the taco cupcakes stored?

Place them in your fridge and heat in your oven when you’re in the mood for some of these yummy snacks!

    How to Prepare Taco Cupcakes

Start by preheating your oven to 350 F. Brown the meat in a skillet and drain the grease, then add taco seasoning according to the instructions on the taco seasoning’s package.
