Happy Terrific Tuesday!!
I absolutely love, especially on hot days, good refreshing beverages like mocktails and cocktails. I remember mixing apple juice and sprite as a little girl because I loved the fizz and bubble. I would always mix different drinks growing up from Tang to Kool-Aid. I even mix different Kool-Aid flavors!
One of my cousins taught me the Perfect Kool-Aid mixture. Since I enjoyed the taste so much, I definitely had to learn how to make it just like her.
So, today I am sharing the easy, flavored Perfect Kool-Aid recipe. Note that it can also be used for punches by adding any lemon-lime soda.
The Cheapest Way to Quench your Thirst!
We all agree that water is the best option to tame your thirst; but staying properly hydrated is more than just drinking water! It could be a cold glass of the Perfect Kool-Aid.
Edwin Perkins invented Kool-Aid in 1927 in Hastings, Nebraska. He did all of his experiments in his mother’s kitchen. The predecessor of this American brand of flavored drink was a liquid concentrate called “Fruit Smack”. So, to reduce shipping cost and weight, Perkins removed the liquid to leave only the Kool-Aid Powder.
Growing up, Kool-Aid was a summertime essential. It had all the sugar a kid could ever want and more! It is the cheapest drink that could satisfy your thirst.
Kool-Aid is the perfect oral rehydration homemade solution that improves physiological parameters and shows a trend to increase athletes performance. Still not convinced?!

As a native Alabamian who spent many summers in the sweltering hot and humid home of my late grandmother, I can vouch for this post. On those hot days, there were few things better than a good refreshing cup of Kool-Aid. The key was that it had to be right…and that means the right amount of sugar and the right amount of Kool-Aid mix. It is absolutely an art form much like sweet tea.
Thank you so much AnJuan!!
