Choosing a recipe that is both easy and yummy is often hard. We all need a recipe Rolodex with some quick and easy recipes for dinner. My chicken pot pie is here to save the day!
Why You Will Love This Recipe
Who doesn’t love chicken pot pie? It is so rich, creamy, and just down right delicious! My recipe is loaded with chicken and vegetables in the creamiest sauce wrapped in ready made pie crust. It is a perfect recipe for some comfort food and so easy to make.
Also, the recipe for this classic chicken pot pie is made for everyone! It does not matter whether this is your first cooking experience or you are an experienced chef. My recipe is easy to follow and gives great, yummy results!
In addition, all ingredients are so easily obtained. The pie crust is pre-made and the vegetables are canned. Additionally, cream of chicken is used instead of making a sauce from scratch. This is perfect for anyone looking to cook a good meal but is too busy to spend too much effort.
Finally, my recipe is enough for two pies, so you can plan your dinners according to this. Following this recipe would give you enough classic chicken pot pies for many people and many days. You can freeze any leftovers. Just take the leftovers to work or keep them as dinner for the coming day, no one will be complaining!
Tips and Tricks
In case you want some fresh pies but do not have the time to prepare it from scratch each time, I’ve got you! Prepare your hearty filling and assemble your pie ahead of time. Then place in an airtight container, and freeze for months or refrigerate for up to two day. To prepare this easy pie, proceed and bake as the recipe indicates.
Also, cool your filling before placing your pre-made pie crust on it. That way, the crust stays soft and buttery, and is yummier after baking.
Additionally, make sure your chicken and vegetable filling has the desired consistency before assembling your pies. Consistency is key, especially if you do not want a soggy chicken pot pie.
Finally, you can choose to have your classic chicken pot pie as a big pie or serve it in individual pots. Both are equally as delicious, but you can choose one over the other depending on the occasion and your preferred method of presentation.
