Here comes July and the 4th fun-filled celebrations with it!

My last class at the Gardendale Library Orange was filled with so much fun and excitement! It was quite a success! I’ve truly enjoyed sharing my entertaining summer ideas and tips with you all; and my easy red, white, and blue 4th of July Dessert Charcuterie Board was a big hit!

Kick start your summer parties with this colorful fruity recipe!

Celebrate Independence with Style and Ease

You might be wondering how can you possibly celebrate Independence Day with style? Easy answer: colorful charcuterie boards! Why? They are just a perfect way to indulge yourself in cooking.

In the following recipe, I used strawberries, white chocolate pretzels, and blackberries to create a red, white and blue board. Nothing beats a festive colorful charcuterie board on your holiday weekend!

Why You Will Love This Recipe:

Aside from being an easy and simple patriotic recipe, this dessert Charcuterie Board truly deserves all the hype it is getting! Here’s why!

    Festive and Fun:

Take a break from serious cooking marathons and remember what this weekend is all about. The festivities of course! Prepare this board in literally no time, and enjoy the rest of your day with the kiddos!

    Perfect Family Activity:

Share the kitchen space with your family members, and let them take part in the holiday preparations. Not only is this a friendly family activity, but it also makes a great contest where different teams can use their imagination to win delicious treats!

    Passe-partout:

It will make the perfect easy appetizer for summer entertaining, parties, gatherings, cookouts, etc.

    Tasty Mix:

This recipe presents an explosion of flavors! Your taste buds will experience a combination of tangy, sweet, and salty mix. Yummy!

    Tips and Tricks

What I like most about this recipe is its flexibility. Since it is not exclusively for the 4th of July, here are a few tips that would help you turn this recipe into your own!

First, show off your pride on the 4th of July by using any food of your choice. As long as they are red, white, and blue in color, you are good to go!

In addition, use round or square boards, or even a table covered with a protective tablecloth (perfect for when you’re hosting a large group of people).

Cut and prepare your ingredients (especially fruits) beforehand. This will help you save time on such a busy day!

    Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use blueberries instead of blackberries?

Sure! As long as you stick to the desired colors, you can swap the ingredients with your personal favorites anytime!

Can I use marshmallows instead of white pretzels?

Yes, as I’ve mentioned before, you can use any food white in color.

Can I use raspberries and strawberries?

Absolutely, that will add a touch of creativity to your board!

    What You Need

You can never go wrong with choosing the right ingredients, more like fruits, for this recipe. It all depends on your preferences and favorites, as well as your family’s. The following are the ingredients I’ve personally used to prepare this patriotic dessert charcuterie board.

    • Either red fruits or candy.
    • White Chocolate Pretzels or any other white substitute.
    • Blackberries, raspberries, or any other substitute similar in color.

How to Make Your Own 4th of July Dessert Board

First, grab a wooden board of your choice and all the needed ingredients (red, white, and blue).

Cut the strawberries in half, then draw the American flag by arranging your food in a red line, followed by a white line.

Finally, spread those blue ingredients in the corner for the stars. Easy, right?
