How to Have a Fun Easter: Jelly Bean Game
Happy Palm Sunday!
We are one week away from Easter, how exciting! However, for many of us, it will be celebrated a bit differently this year. We won’t be able to get together and have Easter dinner with family and friends as we would have loved to. Still, that doesn’t mean you can’t have fun at home with your immediate family.
I always love creating games for special events and celebrations to help crank up the excitement and fun. With that, I present to you the jelly bean game! This virtual jelly bean game, involving some guessing and lots of jelly beans, is perfect for kids and adults alike! Work out your brain muscles and see if you can guess how many jelly beans are in a closed jar. Let us see how close you can get!
What You Need to Prepare for Jelly Bean Game
The jelly bean game needs just two components and you are ready to go! The first thing you need is a clear mason jar. You can use any container with a lid that can hold your jelly beans. The second thing is -you guessed it- jelly beans!
How to Prepare
- Fill your jar with jelly beans and then count them.
- Allow your guest to guess how many jelly beans are in the jar.
- Select a winner! (The person who guesses the closest number of jelly beans wins.)
Tips and Tricks
Now that you know the basics of how to prepare this virtual jelly bean guessing game, let’s spice it up! We will try to introduce some modifications that would make your game even more fun!
This game is fitting for Easter, which is only one week away! However, you can get creative and use this game for other holidays and celebrations as well. For example, we played the jelly bean game for my nephews birthday! We changed the game a bit though. We used bow ties instead of jelly beans in a jar because that was his birthday theme.
You can also choose the jar of your choice to fit the theme! You can use a mason jar for a more rustic-themed picnic, plastic Easter eggs if you’re planning on playing the game this Easter, or any other container that can hold the jelly beans and match your party theme!
In addition, you have the choice of picking a clear jar to give your guests a chance to eyeball how many jelly beans are in the jar. Or you can make the game harder by choosing an opaque container and having your guests rely on other senses, such as sound as they shake the container around.
Now for the winners, you can choose to prepare a special gift or surprise for them. You can also give them the jelly beans they accurately guessed. That’s also quite the yummy prize!
Jelly Bean Guessing Game FAQs
No, anything that can fit in the jar and can be guessed is fair game! You can use other types of candy, beads, marbles, sea shells, even rocks!
As much as you want and have on hand! You can prepare many containers and vary the numbers to add an extra level of challenge to the fun.
