Party favor, a sweet note to end your celebrations! And what’s sweeter than a gift made with love for your guests!
I’ve loved planning and decorating ever since I was a kid! Birthdays were and still are a big deal for me!
There’s something about seeing your vision or idea coming to light that simply fills my heart with happiness. One of my favorite things about parties is preparing what’s called party favors.
What Does a Party Favor Mean?
Party favors are small tokens to say thank you for celebrating with me!
Whether you’re hosting a birthday party, a wedding reception, an anniversary dinner, or any event; party favors will help you set the tone for your chosen theme.
For example, last year, I celebrated my birthday at a winery; so of course these mini wine bottles were a perfect match with the whole theme.
Let me show you how it’s done!
Frequently Asked Questions
No, not really. They’re just a beautiful gesture to show your appreciation. It’s an indirect way to thank your people!
Well, they’re usually given at the end of the party, on the way out. However, there’s no official rule about that. Whenever it feels right for you, go ahead and spread your appreciation.
You definitely can, but I personally prefer making them as it’s more thoughtful and heartfelt.
Party Favor: Mini Wine Bottles Edition
Needed Materials
It can’t get any easier than this DIY craft. All you need is a few simple things that you can either find in your storage, purchase from the nearest store, or order from the comfort of your home.
I chose some refreshing berry-bright Rosé bottles. It’s the right party favor for my friends after celebrating my birthday at a winery. I thought they perfectly delight any dessert. Well, I can talk on and on about wine pairings but that’s not our subject, let’s return to our DIY project. Here’s what I’ve used:
- 4 packs of Sutter Home Mini Wine bottles.
- Ribbons.
- Colorful cute straws.
DIY Party Favor
It’s an effortless process that won’t take much of your day.
First, cut the ribbon long enough to wrap around the bottle with the straw. Then, write a fun message on a cute card and add it to the set.
Now all you need to do is drink to all of your party favor planning!!
Cheers!
As Simple As It Looks
Tips and Tricks
The one tip I can give you is BE CREATIVE! I can’t cover everything in one blog as we have unlimited options. Nonetheless, I’ll name a couple party favors tips.
Personalized ribbons… Why haven’t I thought of that! If you have time, and would love to add a personal touch to your party favors, this one is a great idea! You can engrave your birth date, name, a simple thank you, or “MK 26 Birthday” for example. Lovely!
Another brilliant idea is preparing basket with your famous dessert along with the right wine pairing. Maybe HERSHEY’S “PERFECTLY CHOCOLATE” CHOCOLATE CAKE (cupcake twist), brownies, or a batch of cookies.
Creative Party Favor Ideas
These souvenirs differ from one occasion depending on the theme and invitees. Allow me to give you few affordable suggestions for your future celebrations.
Kid-friendly Party Favors
We all know how much children love all kinds of crafts. Therefore, sprinkling creativity while making party favors is a must. What would you want to receive as a kid attending your friend’s birthday? Goody bags! Not necessarily food, you can fill them with toys, drawing books, coloring kits, painting supplies, etc.
Your Birthday
You are free to gift back anything really. What are your guests’ preferences? Where are you celebrating your special day? What about the theme? There’s a lot to consider so everything would be synchronized.
