Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup Hershey’s cocoa
  • 1 ½ tsp baking powder
  • 1 ½ tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 cup boiling water

Chocolate Cream Cheese Frosting

  • ½ cup butter (1 stick)
  • cups Hershey’s cocoa
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • cup milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 8oz block of cream cheese

Instructions
 

Chocolate Cake

  • Pre-heat your oven to 350°F
  • Add all the dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl (Sugar, all purpose flour, Hershey's cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and salt)
  • Next, add the wet ingredients to the mix (eggs, milk, oil, vanilla, and water)
  • Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes. Stir in boiling water. (Batter will be thin)
  • Pour the batter into two 9-inch pans greased with Baker's Joy cooking spray and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until cake tester stick or a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Let your cake cool for 10 minutes, then transfer from the pans to wire racks.
  • Allow them to cool completely, then Frost with Chocolate Cream Cheese Frosting

  • Melt your butter.
  • Stir in cocoa, then alternately add powder sugar and milk, beating to spread consistency.
  • Add a small amount of milk, if needed.
  • Stir in vanilla, add cream cheese, then blend with a mixer until all ingredients are blended well. This should make about 2 cups of frosting.
