Equipment

  • 1 a large round wooden tray/cutting board
  • 5-8 plain white paper cups

Ingredients

  • 1 milk chocolate coated with salted caramel hot cocoa spoon
  • 1 milk chocolate coated with marshmallows hot cocoa spoon
  • 6 cocoa latte spoons
  • 1 box of hot chocolate bomb
  • 1 box of Walkers' shortbread cookies
  • 2 milk chocolate coated with peppermint cookies sticks
  • 2 marshmallow cocoa sticks
  • 4 different cocoa powder sachets with strawberry, vanilla, hazelnut, and chocolate flavors
  • 4 mini candy canes
  • 1 box of colorful sprinkles
  • steam milk of choice or hot water
  • marshmallow mug huggers
  • sea salt caramel
  • whipped cream

Instructions

  • To begin, find a large cutting board, a large platter or tray, or even a wood strip. You need something large enough to arrange your sweets in a pattern that allows everyone to see all the options.
  • Gather all the ingredients you would like to include on your board. Arrange marshmallows and mini hot cocoa bombs around the perimeter of the board.
  • Fill in the spaces with cocoa toppings. I prefer to arrange items in bunches or piles around the edge of the board with highlighted items in the center of the board. Arrange around the tray in small groupings.
  • For small ingredients like sprinkles use little bowls or jars.
  • Serve alongside warm hot cocoa. Don't forget to use a slow cooker or large kettle to keep hot cocoa warm. Or you can just pour steam milk or hot water in a single cup and enjoy your festive drink!

Tips:

  • Prepare hot chocolate ahead of time on the stovetop or in the slow cooker. This way the guests just have to pour the drink into their cups.
  • Not serving right away? You can cover it up in plastic wrap to keep it fresh. Best to serve this right away or at most a day after making.
  • If you want to have a matching theme or make your treats appear handmade, buy store-bought items like hot cocoa bombs and chocolate spoons.
